I like to encourage all new puppy owners to invest in a recall line.
Use a long line when out in parks as this gives your puppy freedom whilst keeping them safe. It gives you peace of mind and a little bit of control, but at the same time letting your dog have freedom to explore, sniff, forage and run.
The right size recall line is important, if you have a tiny dog there are some you may look at but can be heavy with heavy clips. We want them to feel like they are not attached.
The purpose of the recall long-line training is not to use it to reel in your puppy, but to teach them to come all the way back to you. Remember reward your puppy when they get back to you right by your shin.
10 meter line is biothane. It is suitable for water locations, also for bigger dogs or if you want to take your adult dog on runs at the beach or in the country great. It’s great for protecting our native wildlife too.
