Behaviour Training

In-home consultations to help dogs of all ages who struggle with a specific behaviour

Specific behaviour training

If your struggling with a single behaviour problem, I can help you understand why this behaviour is occurring and what we can do to help change bad habits. I use proven science-based positive reinforcement techniques, teaching from the dogs (or puppies) point of view. If you’re experiencing any of the following behaviours I can help:

  • Pulling on the leash

  • Barking

  • Recall (your dog not coming back on cue)

  • Jumping up at humans

  • Nipping or biting

  • Counter surfing

  • Resource guarding

  • Destructive behaviour inside or outside the home

  • Separation anxiety

  • Confidence building

Tailored to your needs

Just like humans, every dog is different and every dog will learn at a different pace. I tailor training specifically to you and your dogs needs and goals and will show you how you can teach your dog an alternative behaviour to what they are currently doing.

Investment

A 90-minute specific behaviour consult is $295. During this session, we begin by discussing the issue you are experiencing whilst I observe and assess your dogs ability to learn. Next we talk about why your dog is behaving this way and how we can help change the habit. We will then work together on teaching methods for your dog and put these methods into practice together, so you have the skills to go forward.

A multi-behaviour consult requires a 2.5-hour session, for which the investment is $410.

A package of two 90-minutes consultations is available, with a saving of $15 per session. The two sessions are to be redeemed within 6 weeks of purchase, however, to achieve behaviour change, I recommend sessions two to three week intervals.

Currently I service Sydney’s Lower North Shore, Inner West and Eastern Suburbs. Please advise if you are located elsewhere for a quote.

Severe agression

If you are experiencing severe aggression such as dog-to-dog aggression, dog-to-human aggression or extreme lead reactivity I will refer you to my colleague Mark Ehrman from Canine Counselling, who specialises in such cases. Mark is a positive reinforcement trainer with extensive experience dealing with severe aggression cases.
