Dog Socialisation and Enrichment

Socialisation is more than visiting a dog park!

Socialisation is essential to building a dog’s confidence. Exposing your dog slowly and regularly to new and varied environments, sounds, dogs and people is critical in setting them up to succeed in the outside world, away from your home. I can guide you on how to introduce a socialisation plan and take you and your dog out into the world to guide you in implementing it.

Enrichment

Enrichment is improving the quality of your dogs day doing what they find rewarding. It comes in many forms using the dogs senses - sight, sound, smell, touch and taste. Using their natural instincts we can create variety in their life and give them choices, which is critical to their wellbeing. From simple things like varying their walks, to work to eat activities, I have an extensive toolkit of enrichment activities that can be built into a plan for your dog. An enrichment consultation might also be the perfect thing for your dog if you’re heading back into the office and your dog will be left alone. Or for rainy days!

And this is not just for young puppies and dogs, it’s imperative that older dogs get the opportunity to use their senses in this way too.

Investment

A 90 minute socialisation or enrichment consultation is $190 including socialisation or enrichment plan, depending on your needs.
